Bespoke Homes - Dormers, Prestbury

Award Winning Sustainable Home

This Arts and Craft style property was designed with a 21st century focus on renewable and low carbon energy. Sustainability and efficiency were prominent in the design brief, and this was achieved with the installation of an air source heat pump and solar thermal, a heat recovery system, renewable power and storage, plus electric vehicle charging points.

The house was built in a dormer style to be in keeping with both the former property, and other properties nearby. The extensive use of Cumbrian sandstone has created many interesting features and detail, and the Cheshire brickwork is particularly impressive.

The oversized 9ft entrance door by Illingworth Ingham is a beautiful piece of local craftsmanship and is also a sign of the high quality of materials and workmanship throughout, with a bespoke staircase and beautiful solid oak flooring by Havwoods which was featured as one of their case studies

The house was shortlisted for a Northern Design Award in the Best Residential New Build category.
