Multiple Homes - Warren Drive, Hale Barns

TWO NEW SEMI-DETACHED PROPERTIES

The brief, from the client/developer, was to maximise the plot for family accommodation whilst maintaining the amenity space. To achieve this, we looked at a three-storey design initially for two detached properties, which was changed to two semi-detached homes to reduce the hard landscaping between the houses, allow for protecting the roots of the existing trees and retain the maximum garden space.

Hale Barns has an eclectic mix of homes, period details and exterior materials which allowed for the use of quality stonework, render and brickwork to differentiate the two houses and enhance the street scene.

The final scheme layouts produced welcoming and traditional proportions for the reception rooms and first floor bedrooms with dressing and en-suites, contrasting with more modern open kitchen areas with dining and less formal snug areas. Integral garages and large separate utility rooms provide plenty of practical storage. Bed Three over the garage in addition to Beds Four and Five, provide apex ceilings and incredible views, again with dressing and en-suite facilities.
