CLOVERDALE – PRESTBURY

A black car parked in front of a house in Prestbury.

After spotting this site and seeing the potential for a new home within walking distance of Prestbury village, our clients managed to secure the plot and were clear that any new dwelling had to respect the neighbours’ views towards the adjoining golf course.

Using the existing slope on this site, the design was to create a seemingly modest dormer bungalow when entering the gates, with an interesting angled front elevation almost hiding the secrets within. The entrance level hallway hosts the door to the double aspect, double storey lounge, cloakroom, and the split staircase. Half a level down reveals the garden level kitchen, day room and study, giving level access to the large private patio, surrounded by mature trees and the sound of the trickling stream.

Half a level upwards from the hall leads to the bedroom level, each one designed with clever angles to frame a view of the specimen trees, the stream and private garden. Tailored to suit our clients, we added his and hers dressing rooms, and a balcony off the Master Bedroom.
Accommodating treasured pieces of furniture, this home has an open yet cosy feel, filled with love and exquisite taste and it has been a joy to return 2 years after completion to see the renovation of the stunning gardens.
